TCBC is delighted to have the opportunity to work with Datacenter Dynamics to combine the 2015 Cloud Symposium with DCD’s 2015 Converged event. Under the Converged banner, TCBC will deliver tracks on subjects that are essential to creating viable cloud perspectives within Canadian businesses. The TCBC Symposium will share a show floor and plenary sessions with Converged, giving attendees an opportunity to hear from leading experts and to explore state-of-the-art options in data center technology as well as in cloud.

Sessions hosted by TCBC within the event will include:

  • Enterprise cloud strategy and planning – Adoption and expansion of cloud within the enterprise requires effective planning to ensure that cloud capabilities are integrated within the overall IT delivery fabric and business process fabric of the organization without increasing security/regulatory exposure. This session will identify key issues that need to be considered in the adoption and expansion of cloud within IT and business contexts.
  • Advanced cloud application adoption and enablement – Increasingly, cloud is the platform enabling the most compelling next steps in IT. Collaboration, Analytics and Big Data, IoT and mobility all draw on cloud capabilities to improve a wide variety of business processes. What are the key considerations in building a platform for advanced cloud application adoption and integration? This session will delve into the key issues in supporting advanced applications within an evolving cloud infrastructure.
  • Spotlight on Analytics - Cloud has redrawn the lines around traditional data and application constraints, and nowhere is the benefit of the expanded perimeter clearer than in analytics. This session will examine how ubiquitous access and effectively-unlimited IT infrastructure facilitates new uses of technology.
  • Delivering cloud via public, private and hybrid cloud environments – In a world that is transitioning from traditional on-premise infrastructure to corporate IT fabrics that incorporate multiple cloud platforms, defining and delivering cloud infrastructure is more a journey than a destination. This session will provide a framework for identifying key issues in establishing public, private and hybrid clouds within “brownfield” and “greenfield” environments.
  • Governance, risk and compliance (including privacy and data residency) – In many cases, the key cloud management issue for businesses is governance: how is cloud incorporated within existing governance, risk and compliance structures? This session will explore what needs to be done for cloud to be a positive contributor to GRC, and not a point of exposure.
  • IoT and the future of technology that extends beyond IT - Power, integration and ubiquity: the IT landscabe is defined by cloud, mobility and analytics technologies that will support new levels of IT awareness and control. With IoT, leading organizations are combining IT and OT in ways that will stretch the definitions of technology and business - and which will provide strategic challenge and opportunity for organizations in virtually all industry sectors.

Attendees who elect to purchase “all access” passes will also have the opportunity to visit sessions in the data center design and strategy, data center power and cooling and IT and networking infrastructure tracks.
